Asha – Fairfax Newborn Photography

So excited to share Asha’s newborn session ever since I met PK and PJ in November, see their maternity session HERE. A few days after Pj’s due date had passed I contacted her to see if everything had gone well.  Asha apparently had made herself a good cozy home out of her mommy’s tummy and didn’t want to come out. Luckily when she did she was healthy and beautiful and just perfect. Asha is a real little princess, her mommy and daddy lovingly put together her gorgeous bedroom, I just could not resist taking portraits in her  nursery. She’s got the cutest most dandy chandelier I’ve ever seen in a nursery, gray walls and pink accents all around. The office was just perfect  and warm and although Asha liked to snack every few minutes she had a perfect session, sleeping just enough to photograph her and then move on to the next shot. Grandma was in so I made sure to take a portrait of her holding her little granddaughter, I love photographing grandmothers, there is just a certain way about how they hold their little grandchildren, its almost as if they are re-living their own first moments when they themselves became parents, they hold them ever so gently but securely in their arms, with a glimpse of disbelief that their baby has created this new baby.  Had such a nice time shooting this session I didn’t want to leave, after all its not everyone someone has a Starbucks coffee machine in their home. Thank you PK for the tasty coffee! I absolutely cannot wait to see them all again soon, Congratulations Kattel Family! xoxo Jenne
